CCM cooperation will be further expanded

Targeted materials development

Neue Materialien Fürth GmbH laid the foundation for the development of thermoplastic laminates as lightweight construction solutions with the installation of a 25-inch interval hot press in 2012. Three years ago, a further 50-inch system was added. These pilot machines provided a concrete material basis for countless product ideas from industry.

More efficient and precise CCM manufacturing

Further development aims to build expertise for very large-area and thin-walled applications based on sustainable and morphologically optimized polymer materials. The goal is to make the existing CCM technology even more efficient with regard to locally prevailing temperature and pressure conditions, in order to achieve targeted control of the internal laminate properties. This will be complemented by further expansion of digitalization and automatic data acquisition and control.

Sustainable laminate development for the future

NMF’s goal, together with Teubert and local industry, is to develop even more efficient and sustainable thermoplastic laminate systems tailored to specific needs, thereby counteracting the increasing price pressure in the raw materials market through closed-loop material cycles.
