Evaluation of components
Neue Materialien Fürth GmbH
For the characterization of components and the corresponding geometrical and mechanical properties different machines and measurement systems are available. Parts are digitalized using fringe projection and subsequently compared with CAD data or the results of the numerical analysis. Furthermore, we take secondary specimens from components using laser cutting and analyze these in tensile tests. Regarding multilayered sheet metals or sheet bulk metal forming parts, the properties in the cross section are evaluated applying micro hardness tests. In addition, we investigate the crash performance of components using a high-speed testing machine.

Neue Materialien Fürth GmbH (NMF) is a national research center of the Bavarian State. We transform cutting-edge materials and manufacturing methods into industrial solutions. Our 3000 m² testing field is equipped with large-scaled industrial facilities. The scope of our work is not limited to research – we also manufacture prototypes and small batches.
